1/2 Half Pork Bulk Packages

Thank you for your interest in our bulk pork bundles. With our 1/2 pig bulk package, you can expect roughly 60-80 lbs of finished pork (if you are more familiar with beef, this is similar to a 1/4 beef). Our butchers use premium vacuum sealed packaging for the longest freezer life. Roughly 3-4 cubic feet of freezer space will be required to store your family's pork. The attached cut list is customizable to your family's preferences or you can use our Prairie Farmstead cut list. This includes bacon, ham and 1 flavor of sausage.

Deposits are $175 and are non-refundable. A deposit holds the order.

Pricing as of March 20th 2024:
$5.90/lb by hanging weight. Finished meat weight is typically 65-70% of the hanging weight, depending on your cut list. Bones and lard are included, if wanted, but you do not need to take them.

Example: $5.90/lb x 105 lb hanging weight = $619.50 for the pig (weights pig will vary)
70% = 73.5 lbs finished meat or $8.43/lb. for the pork (before processing charges)
65% = 68.3 lbs finished meat or $9.08/lb. for the pork (before processing charges)

Processing costs are not marked up and passed through from the processor. Costs are estimated and vary with sausage and curing.

You pick up your pork at the butcher or we will transport it to either Denison, TX or Sherman, TX. Home delivery is available upon request, if needed.

Our pasture and forest raised pigs have never received antibiotics or chemical wormer products. We do not spray our pastures with herbicides or pesticides. Our pigs are supplemented with Non-GMO feed locally milled to our specifications. This is a no-soy and no-corn feed blend. At Prairie Farmstead, we strive to produce some of the cleanest pork available to North Texas, and we are proud of the pork quality and flavor we offer.
